Ok, so I was really supposed to "bring it" for the final 30 days of this 90 day journey, and instead I'm totally petering out.
Day 79 was Sunday. We went on a trip out of town this day so I didn't do plyo, and we ate Cracker Barrel that evening. I really hate myself for how I've been eating.
Day 80 Monday, it was my oldest daughters birthday and due to a fun filled day of birthday plans my workout got axed again. We went to Olive Garden for her birthday. I had Fettuchine Alfredo. It was fattening and delicious.
I woke up this morning feeling super doughy. I just am NOT happy with myself at all. I'm loosing momentum and I don't know what to do....thankfully the scale doesn't reflect how I feel, because I FEEL ten pounds heavier than I did a week ago.
So, today I came home from school and popped in Yoga X and tried to get back on track. I made it through the video, but of course had to stop it ten million times to deal with my little girls. Every time I have to stop it I feel it sets me back ten paces. I just don't feel like I give it my best when it's start, pause, start, pause, etc....
Feeling VERY bad about myself today.

Day 68-73
Wow, have I totally gotten behind.
Ok, day 68 was last Wednesday. That workout was legs and back and GOSH it was killer. All I know is I'm having trouble breezing through stuff that I could easily do a month ago. I guess that is the point of muscle confusion.
Day 69. I had school this day and a hair appointment that took my entire day. It was supposed to be Kenpo but I didn't do it.
Day 70 - rest day.
Day 71 - Chest, Shoulders and Triceps. Did it, brought it, felt great afterward. Had friends over that night for a party...ate too much and drank more than I should have...calories, calories, calories....
Day 72 - This should have been plyo but I skipped it because sickness was running through my household, hubby and kids were all sick and mommy just couldn't find the time to herself to work out.
Day 73 - Back and Biceps. Still sore today from this one yesterday. Felt crappy all day about missing Plyo, but need to just press on. After the workout I totally crashed. Had no energy the rest of the day. I haven't felt wiped out like this in quite some time, not sure if I'm coming down with what my hubby and kids had.
I've sucked this past week, between my botched Yoga day, missing Kenpo and Plyo, I feel like I'm crashing. I'm having a lot of trouble staying in the game because I've had a busy month. I have 6 birthdays of immediate family members this month plus an anniversary and finals are in a week for school, so needless to say I'm stretched pretty thin. I thought in the 60-90 day range I'd feel great and have tons of energy, but I'm having trouble making it through the work outs and I end up crashing right when I'm done. I'm not eating THAT terrible, but I think it may be a possibility that I'm not eating enough calories to make it through the work outs. That right there could be my problem.

Day 67
Today was yoga day. I wasn't looking forward to an hour and a half because it's been a pretty busy day, but once I got home, in my workout clothes and popped in the DVD I was totally ready for it.
Problem is my 9 month old had other plans. She decided to scream throughout the entire first 40 minutes. Nothing I did would appease her. I must have had to pause it about 20 times. I finally gave up and realized Yoga just wasn't happening today.
Eating I've done great. Had a two egg omelet for breakfast, lunch was grilled chicken, green beans and corn. I had half a banana for a snack just a few minutes ago. Dinner tonight is burritos using extra lean ground beef, with lots of veggies on top. The tortilla and the beans will be my carbs for the day.
So, as if I didn't feel guilty enough for not completing my workout for the day, here is a conversation between me and my three year old (well almost three, just another week):
My three year old came into my bedroom and saw me changing OUT of my workout clothes.
Her: You not doing your exercises?
Me: No sweetie, it's just not happening today.
Her: But you HAVE to do them!
Me: (Laughing) Well, Lucy just was too fussy! I won't do them today. Why do care so much? You afraid mommy is going to get big and fat? (I put my arms out to the side and pretended to waddle over to her to "get her")
Her: You are all ready big and fat.
Gee. Thanks.

Day 60
Today is 60 days of P90X, but since I extended phase two by a week for getting sick, I'm not taking photos until I finish this rest week. Today was supposed to be Stretch X, but I did Yoga X instead, since on Thursday I may not get to work out (I have a busy day that day), so I decided I'd rather get in a second Yoga this week instead, and if I CAN work out on Thursday I'll just do the Stretch X then, then rest on Friday.
Yoga was much tougher today and I'm not sure why, maybe because I didn't have to pause it 200 times to deal with my kids? I actually got through the first 40 minutes without pausing once. I also was doing push ups before my downward dog to increase the intensity.
Still can't do crane. I still have trouble with half moon, but I did do the twisting triangle pose (above) where you grab your hands underneath your legs. I've never been able to hold that one before! I'm certain I don't look even HALF as graceful as this lady doing it though.
Still I can't say enough positive things about Yoga. It's really an amazing workout and I love it.

Day 56-58
Day 56 was a rest day, and I was going to try and make up Kenpo from the day before but I ended up watching my gorgeous little niece that day, it was a trade off I was willing to take!
Day 57 (Saturday) began my phase 2 "rest" week. Funny thing is the "rest" weeks are always harder on me because they are really not a rest, but just a rest from the weights and resistance. This means cardio and more cardio, which is where I totally suck. Yesterday though was Yoga and I still can't begin to say enough positive things about Yoga. My 8 year old son sat and watched me do yoga. He tripped out at some of the moves (especially crane, which I'm still not able to do yet, but I'm getting closer). He was a sweetie, he wanted to jump in and help me when I started to tumble. He said "I'm afraid you will get hurt mom!" I explained that I would be just fine, and that me falling over every now and again is normal.
I just can't get over how freaking awesome I feel when I'm done with Yoga. It is truly like a massage of the central nervous system and it's amazing. I did the "ohm's" at the end for the first time. I felt pretty silly doing it but I felt great afterwards (and it really isn't a crazy cult thing, it's just massaging your vocal chords and stuff). My son got a huge kick from the ohms.
Day 58 (Sunday). I did core this morning. It totally kicked my ass. I think I was sweating more than I ever did in plyo, and I'm not sure how. Core totally wiped me out.
I have a confession to make. I had donuts for breakfast. I shouldn't have because I felt just awful afterwards. I also had pizza and wings the night before. Then the night before that it was my anniversary and I went to Macaroni grill and had very fattening pasta and cheesecake. I have to admit, I have SUCKED on my diet this week. It's like two meals a day I can stick to it then I just completely BLOW it. Thankfully I haven't gained any, and I'm still getting plenty of compliments from my hubby on how I'm looking lately. I went and saw some family members today that I haven't seen since I was 9 months pregnant with my daughter back in August (that's when I was 193 pounds and looking like a swollen beached whale in a black and white dress at my brother in law's wedding. Dear God what was I thinking wearing black and white when I was THAT big?) Anyhow, family members, today, back on track now....they kept saying how skinny I looked! ME? SKINNY? REALLY? Wow. I think I was on cloud nine the rest of the afternoon.

Day 52, 53 and 54
Again, I'm behind on blogging.
Day 52 was Back and Biceps. It was pretty rough, I was barely recovered from the workout on Saturday. I was not rocking as great as I did on Saturday, but I was still keeping up and doing pretty good. Ab ripper was rough because my muscles were still sore.
Day 53 (yesterday) was Yoga. I had trouble with my girls during this workout. I kept getting interrupted, I got about the first 30 minutes complete, then I had to stop it. By the time I came back to try and finish it I had lost momentum and just didn't finish it. Yoga just wasn't happening today. (side note, Yoga was ROUGH today after doing the back and biceps the day before...muscles...so... sore). I feel crappy for not finishing, but with my girls in a total meltdown it just wasn't happening.
Oh, and I've TOTALLY blown my diet the past few days. For meals and snacks I've done all-right, but we've had ice cream in the house, and I've indulged more than once...this is why I just CANT have sweets in the house. They are my total downfall and I WILL consume them. Also it's April and my seasonal allergies have come back with a vengeance. I'm totally exhausted and have zero energy. I'm gonna have to really push myself to work out the next few days.
Today I'm supposed to do legs and back. I haven't got to it yet, and I have a doctors appt today, so hopefully I will find time to squeeze it in somewhere (I'm thinking after doctor before dinner). Breakfast this morning was a bowl of special K and a banana. So far, so good food wise....we will see how the rest of today goes.

Day 46
I never got to do back and biceps yesterday. I came down with a nasty migraine and just decided to rest the remainder of the day. I think it must be the weather changing back and forth so much, it's making me crazy sick! I think I may do back and biceps tomorrow instead of legs and back, since last week's back and biceps didn't go well, and I missed it this week. Between yoga, Kenpo and Plyo I'm pretty good on legs (in fact I can see AND feel the muscle coming back in my upper thighs I had in high school cheerleading), I really need to get my back and arms into shape so I think I'll swap tomorrow (must get rid of back fat...So. Gross.)
But I digress...
Today I did Yoga. I never look forward to how long and excruciating the first 45 minutes feels, but I always feel great after Yoga, and that I do look forward to. I still can't do crane, and I'm not even close to getting it, but I keep trying it every time.
Diet is good today, hard boiled eggs for breakfast with some juice (and YES, I eat the yolks so sue me), salad and no-carb meat-loaf for lunch using extra lean ground beef, water and some more water. Things are pretty good today. I've got a lean roast in the crock pot for dinner soaking with fat free cream of mushroom for my gravy. It's got carrots and potatoes in it. Potatoes will be one of my carbs for the day.
Nothing exciting but no drama...a perfect workout day.

Day 39
Today was Yoga. I managed to make it through all but the last eight minutes of the DVD before my toddler woke up. This is progress.
Wow, as much as I hate the boredom of the first 45 minutes of the Yoga DVD, it's all worth it in the end. I feel GREAT after Yoga, and I mean GREAT. I can't beleive I was subbing Cardio X for this the first few weeks. Wow was I totally stupid. I regret that decision.
Still can't do crane, or several of the other poses without toppling down like a deck of cards...oh well, that will come with time.
Eating great today, I had two eggs for breakfast with 1% milk (I just hate skim), a salad for lunch with chicken breast, a low-fat string cheese for a snack and 48 oz of water to drink. I'm REALLY bad at drinking enough water. Tonight we are supposed to go to Jump Zone for a birthday party. I'm hoping they have some salad and healthy options on their menu other than just pizza...
I went and picked up 8 and 10 pound dumbells, so next week I will be extremely prepared for the workouts!

Day 30, 31 & 32
Once again got behind on my blogging (and my workouts). It's not as bad as you may think though.
Day 30
This would have been Sunday, and it should have been Plyo, but I only got four hours of sleep the night before (we had a vomiting incident with my six month old and had to call the ambulance, it was a total fiasco night, but thankfully she is fine). Therefore I skipped my workout on Sunday to try and recoup from a traumatic evening the night before.
Day 31
Today I took my thirty day photos. Good Lord this day couldn't have come any sooner. All my worries and fears about my progress were relieved. I have been loosing weight BUT gaining muscle (and driving my husband crazy with my moaning and bitching for the past thirty days). You can definitely see improvement in my photos and for that I'm so thankful. My stomach has gone down, I'm loosing that second chin and lunch lady arms and that ugly back fat I had (oh God did I just admit on the internet that I have "back fat?") are going away gradually! It gave me new motivation and I've been on this high ever since! My hubby was in "told ya so" mode. He has been telling me he could see a difference, but I just didn't believe him, I had to see the proof for myself. My plan this day was to do plyo in the morning to make up for the day before then do back and biceps in the afternoon. Problem with this plan was that plyo completely wore me out. I think it's a combination of the rest week then jumping back into it complied with the fact I am still sick. I can't seem to shake this black plague of death that has come over me...
Day 32
Plan for the day, Yoga in the morning, then do back and biceps in the afternoon to make up for yesterday. My two year old threw up this morning and was in complete meltdown mode, so I only got through 45 minutes of the Yoga until I had to stop because I had a two year old using my downward dog as a tunnel. Poor kid as I was doing the leg lift and bringing it through, I totally kneed her in the head as she was making a pass through her "tunnel." I figured it was time to shut down the Yoga for the day because stopping the DVD every five minutes to deal with the household traumas can't clear your mind of distractions and keep you in the present. Obviously this was NOT working today. I was hoping to at least catch up with back and biceps this afternoon, but after a three hour grocery shopping trip, I came home feeling like I got hit by a train. Body aches and fever were back.
Tomorrow is legs and back, so I doubt I'm gonna get back and biceps in this week which is a bummer, but there isn't much I can do about it at this point with the bubonic plague making it's waves through my household....

Day 28
I woke up feeling MUCH more human today and had every intention of doing Yoga today to make up for my sick day yesterday. We won't even discuss what I ate for dinner yesterday (although it was delicious, and fatty and full of bacon and cheese but I was sick and therefore I get to eat whatever I want).
About an hour after waking up I started cleaning the kitchen (the aftermath of mom being sick is a kitchen that was pretty disastrous). This totally wore me out, and I've been pretty much couch-bound the remainder of the day. Hubby took the boys and has gone backpacking this weekend. He may not be doing P90X with me, but I think him hiking several miles will be a decent enough workout for him.
As for me, I'm still sick and I plan on drowning my sorrows today in Pizza Rolls and cheesecake because frankly I don't feel like standing on my feet and chopping vegetables or eating like a rabbit. I know I will hate myself for this tomorrow, but for now I need comfort, and comfort is my sweatpants and a box of Chips Ahoy. So tonight I plan to drug myself up with Advil Cold and Sinus and Afrin and watch Breakfast at Tiffany's with my girls, and I'm not even going to think about P90x and Dreya Weber's perfect abs and Tony Horton's ken doll hair.

Day 27
Today I'm supposed to be doing Yoga, but I've come down with a nasty virus, it's either a bad cold/flu or sinus infection.
I guess I'll be taking this day off and laying in bed.

Day 22
So, after the first week of Yoga we decided to substitute it for Cardio X instead of Yoga. The more research I did and the more I read on the program, I realized that this probably wasn't the best idea. Yoga was obviously in this program for a specific reason, and since I'm not the one who designed the program, nor am I a fitness expert by any means, I decided to give the Yoga another try and stick with it.
I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The first time I did the Yoga I gave up after about 35 minutes of repetitive plank, upward dog, downward dog, runners pose, warrior one, warrior two...I just got too bored with it.
If I would have kept the DVD going for another ten minutes I would have realized that it got MUCH better. I stretched muscles I had no idea I even had! I couldn't get through all the poses, but I felt SO much better after doing this workout. I was relaxed, limber and I felt wonderful. I'm never omitting Yoga X again. I'm still not a fan of the first 45 minutes of repetitiveness, however I can see the benefits of this part of the program.
Diet wise I had a fantastic day and stuck to the program 100%. Today was an excellent day of feeling completely on track!
My goal at day 90 is to do "The Crane". Seriously, coolest thing I've ever seen!
