Day 91

I've started all over, but since I've been at this for 90+ days I'm considering this day 91.  I didn't want to call it day 1 again, because it's really not.

So here I am, Phase 1 day 1 attempt #2 at P90X.

Here is where I started at on Chest and Biceps today:

Standard Push Ups - 10 regular 10 assisted (knees)
Wide Front Pull Ups - 6 assisted (with chair)
Military Push Ups - 12 assisted
Reverse Grip Chin Ups - 6 assisted
Wide Fly Push Ups - 15 assisted
Closed Grip Overhand Pull Ups - 6 assisted
Decline Push Ups - 7
Heavy Pants - 16 @ 10lbs
Diamond Push Ups - 15 assisted
Lawnmowers - 15 @ 15lbs
Dive Bomber Push Ups - 6
Back Fly's - 15 @ 8lbs

Now, how this may not be THAT impressive I started out at 3 push ups on day 1 more than 90 days ago, and I started out with the bands and moved up to the pull up bar.  So, I've definitely made progress.  I can't wait to see what the next 90 days will be like.

So, here I am, Day 91, starting my second round of P90X.  I'm only showing side by sides of day 60 and 90.  If you want to see what I looked like in the beginning at day 1 you can check that out here.

Day 66

Today was shoulders and arms followed by ab ripper x.   Shoulders and arms are sore, but it didn't KILL me like chest and back did the other day.  I lifted between 5-10 pounds on most sets, and did 12-15 reps. I did the bonus round and I did 15 tricep extensions!  At the end of the workout that was pretty good.
For some reason ab ripper has been excruciating the past few times I've done it.  It just seems harder to me than it did in month two.  Not sure why.

I'm having some massive knee issues.  Both my knees are feeling rubber-band ish.  Even on the "rest" week going up and down the stairs I can feel the cartilage/muscle in my knee rubbing on the bone as I walk or bend down or do anything like that.  I'm not sure exactly what that means.  My husband is STRONGLY suggesting that I omit plyo and do cardio x for the remainder of the time to save my knees.  Obviously I want the best results, but I also can't risk damaging my body, because then I'll be sidelined for who knows how long?

So, last night I spent some time in Photoshop putting my "side by sides together."  This always helps me gain a little perspective on how well I did.  In the side by side it's more apparent that I made results, still not the results I was hoping for from days 30-60, but some progress is better than none!

So, here goes.  I debated for quite some time wether or not to post these and I decided to because it's nice to see REAL results out there, and after all this IS a P90X blog.  I want others to see realistically what to expect with this program.

Obviously I still have a long way to go, but I'm seeing progress and that is what keeps me going.  I can't believe that I have stuck with this for more than 60 days.  That in itself is a miracle!
